Weds cla***es and some Special Interest Groups are now meeting on Zoom - consult our Events calendar for details. We apologize for the inconvenience, but we want to be considerate of the health of our members and the public at large. VCGS lists events for other genealogical societies on our web site but we may not have received notification of cancellations. In this time of uncertainty we urge you to check with those societies before attempting to attend their events. |

1 | Megan Lee refers to DNA as her muse. Adopted, she worked her parents' genealogies while they were living and started on her adopted side after their deaths. Megan began taking DNA courses in 2013 and learned DNA through her adoption and without the constraints of a tree or the expected results. This deficit allowed the inheritance patterns of the DNA to guide her. |
2 | Seven years later, she carries an Advanced Genetic Genealogy Certificate from GRIP, a Genetic Genealogy Certificate from Excelsior College, a Certificate in Genealogy from Boston University, and ProGen. She is on the Board of Directors of the Southern California Genealogical Society, an administrator of their DIGs group, the Social Media Director for SCGS's Jamboree, and is a DNA project administrator for SCGS. |
